Serves: 4 servings
  • 1 1lb salmon filet
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Rinse the salmon filet under cool water. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. With sharp knife, divide the filet into 4 equal pieces.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, honey, basil and pepper.
  5. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Place filets in the prepared dish, skin side down.
  6. Brush each piece with the glaze. Bake for 20 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
  7. For a crispy finish, you can place the fish under the broiler for 1 minute after baking.
Note--The salmon can also be cooked on the grill, however, wait to put the glaze on the fish until the last few minutes of cooking as it may cause flare ups.
