Oven Baked Barbeque Ribs

Serves: 4-6 servings
  • 1 3 lb rack baby back pork ribs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup of your favorite bottled or homemade barbeque sauce
  1. Place ribs on a foil lined baking sheet or roasting pan
  2. Trim off excess fat
  3. Mix rub ingredients together and rub on both sides of the ribs
  4. Place another piece of foil over the ribs and seal all edges tight
  5. Place in refrigerator for 1 hour or up to 8 hours
  6. Preheat oven to 250 degrees
  7. Bake for 3½ hours then remove from oven
  8. Remove top piece of foil and spread the ribs with barbeque sauce
  9. Turn oven on to Broil
  10. Broil, uncovered for 10 minutes, turning once and basting with extra sauce as needed
